The Banner Buggy as all things invented was created for the need to fill a purpose and therefore a function.  That function was to become the world’s first “First Amendment Machine©.” The BannerBuggy© and the JohnBoy-BannerBuggy© was born out of Fred Mauney's "Ride For America" tour he made in the summer of 2000 and again in 2001.  With no support team and no cell phone Fred’s Ride For America tour helped bring political awareness to those he encounter.  Having lots of time on the road to meditate and then volunteering for the 2000 Nader Presidential campaign Fred realized he needed a more efficient way of displaying the message.  His vision was… a banner… on a buggy…  

The BannerBuggy Born

With the help of a friend in his cramped back yard Fred Mauney was quick to realize that his modified trailer could easily haul his message anywhere he could ride his bicycle or push/pull a stroller. And if he could ride his bicycle with trailer how about just push/pulling the trailer when a bicycle wasn’t practical… The JohnBoy-BannerBuggy was born.
